Palace Gate Hotel & Resort

Phnom Penh

Surrounding a beautifully restored French-Colonial villa, The Palace Gate Hotel & Resort serves up a well-balanced blend of classic luxury and modern chic. Every care has been taken to preserve the grandeur of the original villa (which is now the hotel's restaurant) while introducing a sense of sympathetically designed luxury to the modern accommodation.

This highly desirable resort lets you take respite from the hot, busy city in what could be described as a pure oasis. Sink into a plush armchair to enjoy views over the rooftops, palace and river; spend an afternoon being pampered at the spa; or luxuriate on a submerged seat in the shallows of the outdoor pool - cocktail in hand, naturally.

Location

Situated next to Phnom Penh’s Royal Palace, within short walking distance of local eateries and bars away from the tourist crowds, this hotel is ideally placed for exploring the city.

Sunset cocktails with a view

Finding the perfect place to capture a great sunset - which also has a striking atmosphere and breathtaking views - isn’t easy, but the Organic Skybar offers the perfect blend. Take in the evening ambience, while sampling a selection of innovative cocktails and tapas, and gaze at the sunset over The Royal Palace. Truly unforgettable…

Location, location, location…

We love its close proximity to the Royal Palace; you are quite literally a neighbour to Cambodian royalty. A visit to the palace is truly remarkable, but it can get very busy on Sundays when countryside Khmers come to pay their respects. This can be a fun way to experience the place, but if you prefer things a little quieter then a midweek trip might suit
