His two-month trip will cover 12,880 km - all overland, travelling on 39 trains and across 13 borders.
Inspired by Nick’s journey, we want to encourage more of our travellers to rediscover the beauty of slow travel, where they can make deeper connections with the places and people along the way. So, for all new bookings made between the 12th October (the day Nick departs) until 28th February, we will be covering the cost of train tickets wherever you replace a domestic flight with a train journey instead.
Why travel by train?
We’re committed to encouraging slower, more sustainable travel. Train travel allows you to soak in the landscapes, meet fellow passengers, and enjoy a gradual introduction to each new culture. It potentially creates a fivefold reduction in the carbon impact of your journey when compared to flying, and allows those ‘between destination’ moments to become a memorable part of your adventure, not just a way to get from A to B.
Where can you use this?
This offer is available for train journeys in our South Asia and Southeast Asia destinations covering India, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and Cambodia, where a train can replace a domestic flight.
To follow Nick’s adventure from the rails, keep an eye out for updates on his blog - coming soon!
