We can confidently say that what the Sok San Beach Resort might lack in luxury, it certainly makes up for in character and natural charm.
Originally the home for the crew from the TV show ‘Survivor’, Sok San is now an intimate beach resort that’s incredibly well run and uncomplicated, granting you the luxury of friendly, familiar relaxation.
The room designs all provide you with a genuine slice of Cambodia, and while the first-floor pavilions offer the best views of the ocean and forest, the family chalets are ideal if you’re bringing the kids. Just a short stroll from the beach, you also have the option of a connecting chalet, which gives you extra space to spread out whilst retaining that sense of privacy.
Set on a blissfully quiet stretch of beach on the island of Koh Rong, this hotel is just a 30 minute walk from its sister property, Royal Sands, and in close proximity to an atmospheric fishing village.

Discover what to expect from staying at Sok San Beach Resort
Visit the nearby fishing village for a change of scene and a bit of fun among the locals. An appealing break, perhaps, from the usual drinking spots found around other parts of Cambodia.
Besides taking advantage of the activities and facilities on offer at Sok San’s sister property, Royal Sands, there’s plenty to discover on the island. Set out on horseback in search of unusual flora in the jungle that occupies 80% of the island, or hop aboard a boat to discover some of the most beautiful beaches in the region. Explore the island's surroundings by speedboat or kayak, before heading back to witness bioluminescent plankton sparkling in the evening water - truly spectacular.
We can’t help but admire Sok San’s commitment to reducing their impact on the environment. From providing refillable water bottles to their charitable work supporting disadvantaged young Cambodians, the hotel looks out for the needs of the local community as well as those of its guests.
