The Menjangan

West Bali National Park

Set within a superb 940-acre estate in West Bali National Park, the Menjangan is the place to discover Bali’s natural splendour from an undeniably luxurious vantage point. The setting is unbeatable, with crystal seas and a private beach of golden coral sand on one side, and mile upon mile of forest and ancient volcanic mountains to the other. The accommodation reflects the balance of land and sea, with a choice of jungle-clad lodges, beachside villas, or the exclusive Menjangan Residence, which is perched on the cliff and particularly suited to families.

The buildings are traditionally constructed, fusing Balinese style with minimalist modern chic, and boasting floor-to-ceiling windows with superb views. Interiors are decorated in an unfussy tropical style using local natural materials in everything from the wooden floors to the grass roofs. Private outdoor spaces open directly onto the pool or beach - perfect for an afternoon dip. Tuck into fresh seafood at a barbecue on the beach, or opt for a more romantic experience with private dining. Either way, you won’t be disappointed.

Location

Nestled in Bali Barat National Park, with villas perched on the beach or tucked away in the forest, The Menjangan is in one of the most beautiful, yet least visited, parts of Bali.

Away from the rice fields

When travelling around Bali, you quickly become acquainted with the sight of lush green rice paddies flanking every mountain and hillside, but the Menjangan offers up a completely different slice of scenery. With the tropical forest as your backdrop and the sound of the ocean lapping at the beach, you may, just for a moment, forget where you are. Wrapped in the surrounding nature and serenity, the entire resort has the atmosphere of an intimate boutique hideaway.

Sustainability Focus

The Menjangan resort is one of the few resorts permitted in the Bali Barat National Park, and it’s their total commitment to sustainability, including having built the resort entirely from natural, local resources, which allows them to maintain this permit. Along with providing privacy and seclusion for their lucky guests, they remain dedicated to restoring biodiversity within this enchanting setting.
