Total immersion

Being in such a unique location, amid prehistoric rainforest, the Rainforest Lodge takes its sustainability responsibilities seriously. From waste, water and energy management to composting, plastic reduction and eco-friendly bathroom products, everything is focused on ensuring the delicate ecosystems of the rainforest are protected. Even the noise impact of the resort’s generators is reduced as much as possible with specially designed insulation. The lodge also funds important research into orangutan conservation, and champions the local community through local product sourcing and employment.
