Visitors arriving into Vientiane and Luang Prabang by air or crossing the border overland at Chiang Khong/Huay Xai can use the evisa service. To apply please visit https://laoevisa.gov.la (you can only apply for the evisa a max of 60 days before arrival).
Laos has introduced a new entry requirement for foreign visitors through the Lao Digital Immigration Form (LDIF), which must be completed within three days before arrival and again within three days before departure. Upon submission at https://immigration.gov.la travellers receive a QR code valid for three days to present at entry and exit points. The LDIF does not replace a visa, and standard entry requirements remain in place.
