Cambodia visa & entry requirements

Cambodia visa information

Do I need a visa to visit Cambodia?

Yes, citizens of the UK, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and almost all other nationalities require a visa to visit Cambodia.

Other nationalities should check with the Cambodian Embassy in their country of residence for the most up-to-date information.

How do I arrange my Cambodian visa?

The easiest way is to organise your visa beforehand online using the e-visa service.

You can apply online if you are arriving into Cambodia at either Siem Reap or Phnom Penh airports. The visa is valid for three months from the date of issue and for a total visit of no more than 30 days.

Apply at www.evisa.gov.kh

How much does an e-visa cost?

A Visa T from the online e-visa service costs $36 (USD) including the processing fee (this is subject to change so always check first).

Your passport needs to be valid for more than six months at the time of entry and you will require a recent passport-size photo in digital format (JPEG or PNG) and a valid credit or debit card (Visa/MasterCard).

The e-visa is accepted at several land borders with Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos but always check before travelling.

What do I do if I can’t apply online for a Cambodian visa?

Most nationalities can also obtain their visa on arrival at either Siem Reap or Phnom Penh airports for a fee of $30 (subject to change so best to carry a bit more). You will require a recent passport-size photo.

Note: we recommend using the e-visa service when possible as it saves unnecessary queuing upon arrival.

How do I get my visa if I am arriving into Cambodia overland?

If you are arriving in Cambodia at a land border you can obtain your visa at your arrival point. The cost is $30 (subject to change) plus an approx. $5 - $15 'stamping fee' (fee depends on the official's mood on the day!). You will require a recent passport-size photo.

The e-visa is accepted at several land borders with Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos but always check before travelling.
