October’s weather in detail

The high levels of humidity and oppressive, muggy air of summer are now a thing of the past, as are the torrential rains. In their place is a dry climate that offers blue skies, sunny days and comfortable temperatures ranging from 15°C in the north and at altitude, to 26°C in the southern regions.

October weather is ideal for exploring South Korea’s great outdoors and the picturesque temples such as Beopjusa, in Songnisan NP, can be seen against a backdrop of russet reds and vibrant oranges. In the more mountainous National Parks it can feel a little chilly once the sun has set, so make sure you have packed extra layers for the evening.
