By June rain can be expected throughout Cambodia. Temperatures remain high (avg temp: 28°C), and humidity can reach 70% during the day. However the short, heavy showers help break the humidity making life a little more comfortable.
Unfollow the herd - travel in Cambodia during June and enjoy fewer crowds, better availability, and help to spread the economic benefits of tourism.
Cambodia's south coast beaches, such as Kep and Sihanoukville, and the Cardamom Mountains experience the heaviest downpours, however the entire country is enjoying some very welcome rain after so many hot, dry months. Despite the wet weather, June is a pleasant month to visit Cambodia as plenty of sunshine is still expected (between the showers); the visitor numbers are far lower than in previous months and low season hotel deals are not uncommon, especially in Siem Reap.
In the key places of interest, travel remains easy due to good infrastructure, however in the more rural north east regions, such as Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri, the rain can make travelling around fairly difficult.
